    Out With The New (Winch)...

    thanks Al. The winch you had originally looks like an 8274 from the pictures. The 8274 is still being sold by Warn (I feel it is one of the best winches ever made). It is the first choice for a winch on my M38A1 but I am still working out the 12v/24v issue (also they are pretty dang expensive)

    **zombie thread alert ** good thread. I'm looking to put a 24v electric winch on my M38A1...mainly due to the price of a pto setup. If the OP is still around, did you use a normal winch plate for a CJ5 or some special version which fits our rigs?
