I just called a local rebuilder that was listed on Stanadyne website. He said anywhere from 1,500 to 5,000 to rebuild mine. I told him that a brand new pump was 2,100 and he said well you would be saving 600.00
I would never pay that to have mine rebuilt. Rebuild kit is less than 100.00 from...
I have been letting it soak in diesel Kleen and I have been turning it over a few times a day. I drained it out of ip and put fresh cleaner in. I put everything back together and I cranked on it for 12 seconds or so and I now have fuel coming out of the return line. It filled up my clear line in...
I did add new fuel to old fuel and put diesel Kleen in it. Fuel coming out water separator valve looks clean and it looks good coming out of filter canister. I was thinking that if I can get it freed up it should be able to burn it. My m1123 sat for 20 years and not a problem with it
I don’t know? I will have to remove the ac and the wood that it sits on. I have a good volume of fuel coming from the supply off of the filter canister. You are right because I don’t want to kill new pump
When I put the cap on last night I could see the bottom of the ip. I just pulled it off and fuel was flush with the lid. So I’m getting some fuel but not enough to come out of the return. Linkage is moving freely still.
That linkage was froze solid and I couldn’t get any movement out of it. I gently moved it back and forth and finally it broke loose and I could see how it should work and what you were telling me. I put it back together and cranked on it awhile and still no fuel out of the return line. Tomorrow...
It went on easy and it had a little tension on it when I slid it towards the rear of the engine.
I looked at pics in post #8 and I’m not sure if I understand. What would that cause?
I opened it up and this is how it looks once I got the fuel out. I sprayed carb cleaner in it and I will let it soak. I have a pressure can coming tomorrow and I will try to send fuel into it at 90 psi… that’s all I can do and I will say it’s done if that doesn’t work. Probably should’ve called...
I believe it to be off-road fuel. I have removed the check valves near the fuel tank and I’m going back thru everything again. I will have some pics of the inside of the ip
I will post pics of the inside of ip tomorrow when I drain it. I need to figure out why I was getting fuel out of return and now it stopped. Fuel that came out of filter looks clean.
After draining the ip and pouring 6 once’s of atf in it. I took the 54a wire off and cranked it for several times. I took cap off and it was maybe 3/4 filled… it should’ve been full by then. I will pull cap and get some cans of carb cleaner brake cleaner and run it in every hole I can find
When I load test them on my charger they both say OK. I had them on my battery tender and they were both green as fully charged. I know it doesn’t mean much but batteries are from 8/21
Hahahaha how much does something like that cost? I need to get busy on it and get it running. I was watching for a sale but nothing has come up AMGeneral has some good ones a few times a year
