Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

There is no doubt that certain people have been opposed to the release of military surplus for a long time. They are probably still working to see to it that none of it is released. What is troubling now is that on record, most of it is to be mutilated. Almost everything I have looked up is...

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

Yes, we got an answer of sorts. The short version is, the government caught people exporting F14 parts to Iran, got upset and made a big to do over it. They came up with IC codes to determines the validity of the DEMIL code. Ninety nine percent of the stuff we want to collect was given a IC3...

Please don't limit this to just the HMV itself. This change also relates to parts for the vehicle. Also a lot of us collect other tactical gear in addition to the HMV. I also like communication and field medical gear.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

Thanks for the update, but I have to say that it doesn't make any since to me. What are they suppose to do, look into each truck's soul and decide if it is going to allow itself to be used against its creator?

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

There is a good chance that is when the codes changed and it was decided to let everything work its way through the system. Federal agencies would be the first to notice nothing new was coming, then state agencies like the forestry service and soon GL.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

I just ran the NSN for a multifuel engine in a can and it came back as Q6 so it may be limited to trucks and trailers. No, just did the NSN for the generator 2920009092483 and it came back Q3.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

In the past, most parts to a MV carried the same demil code as the MV. Anyone checked the NSN of any parts to see they have been changed ? I just did a CUCV alternator and it came back Q6: 6 NON-CRITICAL FSC/FSG MLI OR NON-SENSITIVE CCLI. REQUIRES MUTILATION OVERSEAS.

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

This is something new isn't it? Here is the current definition of demil Q: CCL ITEMS - MUTILATION TO THE POINT OF SCRAP REQUIRED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. IN THE UNITED STATES, MUTILATION REQUIREMENT DETERMINED BY THE DEMIL INTEGRITY CODE. DOD TRADE SECURITY CONTROLS REQUIRED IN THE UNITED...

Yes there is and when you run a M1009 NSN this is what you get: 3 CRITICAL FSC/FSG MLI OR SENSITIVE CCLI. REQUIRES MUTILATION WORLDWIDE. From: https://www.webflis.dlis.dla.mil/WEBFLIS/pub/pub_search.aspx NSN used: 2320011232665 same for a M35A2 NSN 2320000771617 and M105A2 NSN 2330001418050

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

The way I read it, this is not being done at the legislation level, it is DRMO's response to the verbal abuse congress has given them for letting a few F14 parts slip through to IRAN.
