    can a 60 amp Alternator be swapped out with a 200 Amp Alternator without any mods?

    Not sure on the 100 amp alternator. I think ?? (sometimes) that it is a odd ball unit with not as many out there. Could be expensive$$ ? Might be time to go with what fits? If a 60 or 200 amp unit will drop into existing hardware? IMO. Wiring should be easiest part. Trying to hold on to...

    Note that the 60 AMP alternator have a little more going on inside with mechanical and electrical issues. Brushes will wear, weak springs, dirty slip rings can lead to wonky (technical term) output. Where as the 200 amp units are of a brushless design eliminating these wear items. Nice to...
