Mine is on the dataplate mounted on the right side of the tongue. If you don't have that dataplate then you don't have a serial number!

I saw those SPIRIT trailers but decided to go for the CMT-F instead. The CMT-F looked newer, in better shape, and were a LOT closer to me!

    My M1102 and CMT-F (built on a LTT-F, sometimes called an M1102-F)

I was worried about the width of the M1101 but it's only about 6" wider than my F250 on each side and narrower than my mirrors, and has a LOT more floor space than an M101 (and I mean a LOT...) with built in tie down points in the floor. The top attaches in a much more user friendly manner and...

Not my trailer, but this is what an M1101 looks like behind my F250HD

Very nice trailer! Mine always went behind my M1009, but now that it's been totaled I should tow it behind my F250 fir giggles:)

There are a lot of trailers on that link, post a photo of the one you are referring to and we will answer your question!

Here is my M416 behind my M1028, she rides nose high with the lunette in the top hole. This pull was the closest I have ever come to the proverbial "did not know the trailer was back there", I could only see her in the turns and feel her at the speed bumps...

Tail gates on a BT3/M100/M416 are sort of like a de-clawed cat: I would NEVER do it to the animal, but if it has been done already by someone else, it is sort of nice to live with:) The best of both worlds is a Bantam BT3-C ("C" for "civilian"). Bantam's answer to the post VJ Day question...

That is due to several factors: #1-the smaller the unit the easier it is for city folk to deal with (park in their driveway etc,,,) the same applies to jeeps #2- little things are "cute" and it is in our DNA to protect little things (that is how babies survive past the diaper stage) the same...

Pix as follows: #1: a M1009 with a M416 (the only trailer authorized by the Army for use with the M1009) #2: a M1009 with a M101A2 (surge brakes and not too heavy IF loaded properly) #3: a M1009 with a M105A3 (WAY too heavy, shagging around the yard ONLY!) #4: M105A3 in it's proper position...

How much does that thing weigh? This is only a 1/4t trailer... I AM seriously considering using it for it's intended purpose, genset haulage:)

An M101A2 IS the answer to the question, possibly the most useful military trailer in civilian hands!
