Heath, I'm curious as well what the benefits are. I'm working on my own home made kit using an Arduino micro processor to read EGT's and boost to variably control 2 nozzles. If it's worth it, I'll make one for the deuce, too.
You guys don't believe anything I say anyways so I'll quit wasting my time till I have proof. I'll post a vid with specs when I get home in a few weeks. I'm going to GPS the truck, too, to make sure you nitpickers don't have anything to nitpick.
Lol..... putting antifreeze in the water probably wouldn't be any different than the motors run anyways since they can't keep a head gasket and both of mine burn water
Are you saying to go with 11's instead of 395's? I'm getting close to purchasing a set of tires. Thinking 395's at this point, but also like the idea of dual 11's in the rear and 14.5's up front.
Can you elaborate? You use distilled water in your cooling system because hard water will plug up the system. Why wouldn't it be the same for the combustion chamber??
EDIT: "Best of all, water costs very little. When using water it‘s important to use distilled water and not tap water. Tap...
Maybe it's a lemon?? It was a fairly new motor when I got it. It pretty much just sits now. My good deuce isn't getting cranked up at all. I want my grand kids to take rides in it 50 years from now.
Meh... the trucks been all over the state of Kansas at 3200 RPM. It has over 20,000 miles on trips like that. It's served its purpose. If it wants to blow up, I'll get another. (The reaction I got from you guys about the 3200 RPM deal gave me a pretty good chuckle.)
I will get a 3200 RPM vid next time I am home, for sure.
I have no desire for 300hp or a 6bt, just trying to reduce black smoke. Don't know how many other ways I can say that. Don't think you're reading what I'm saying.
My OM617 is similar to this engine. The exhaust and intake ports are side...
I'm not one with wild dreams of making a multifuel a power house period. I have a 600hp Duramax for my power cravings. Just doing what the OP was doing when he started this thread. Trying to reduce EGT's and convert black smoke to useable energy.
Screaming's an understatement. But, diesel's are most efficient at full load; that doesn't mean they get the best mpg, that means they are converting fuel into useable work the best. That concept may be hard for you to wrap your head around, but you can google it if you want. The cummins are...
Well if you're going to be picky, yes I mean "hand throttle." Technically it's a diesel pedal and not a gas pedal, too, lol. I know what the FDC does. I'm asking if anyone's tried meth both ways. Obviously it doesn't know what's in the intake manifold. That's the problem. Maybe the key is to...
Well I sure hope I didn't mess everything up by swapping the D turbo for the C turbo last week. Haven't really driven it since then. The truck is a 1969 M35A2 without winch. 5 speed Spicer 3053a with overdrive. Lever/manual shifted t-case. Air engaged front axle. Standard drive-flange hubs...
Time to breathe some life into this old thread. After reading all 20 pages spread over the course of 2+ years, I'm surprised it isn't complete yet. The reason I was searching the meth injection for the M35A2's was because I want to clean up my exhaust. It belches way too much black smoke out...
