On my deuce tractor, I went with army forest green which is the green In the 4 color woodland camouflage, not period corect but I liked it!
Vietnam Era 383 green may be the color your looking for.

No fun removing that hose!
A little trick that gimpy showed me at the GA Rally a couple of years ago: find a piece of 1x2 lumber about 2 feet long, from underneath the front of truck, push the hose off with the stick.

Soft top repair.
I had a perfectly good soft top on my deuce, I was going down the road, when all of a sudden the stitching started letting go across the front, glad it wasn't raining.( older style tops are sewen, newer style tops are plastic welded).
