    When the motor is turning the plunger rod is doing 2 things, the cam lobe is pushing the plunger rod in and out and the drive gear is rotating the plunger rod. The driver washer (aka dogbone) is what connects the drive gear to the plunger rod to rotate it, so if the plunger can not rotate freely...
