FMTV High Speed Gears
Correct. The rear is easy, just pull the axles and drive shaft and replace the 3rd member. The front knuckles stay but you need to remove everything else. It's a little daunting at first but not too bad once you get into it. -

It's the best upgrade I've made and you won't notice a difference on the bottom end. Still plenty of torque. I was hesitant to do the swap myself but once I got into it it really wasn't that bad. The hardest part was dealing with the crusty U joints. -

Had to get a bigger chisel but it came apart. The other side came apart no problem. -

Hey guys... I'm working on the gear change right now and it's going great except this last part on the front. What's the trick to removing it? I tried knocking it around with a wood block and hammer but it's not moving. Bigger hammer? -
