The RT closed shop at 0200 every day but Saturday. We made that a short day and closed up shop at 0100.

When the FL Rally started in 2006 it was more of a treffen. 8 Pinz and 2 deuces.

All the equipment is still packed away. Once I have it out and can get everything connected I'll start posting raw on youtube. I'm able to do these grabs from the few vids on my phone.

I know it won't work on the higher altitude flights but the perhaps it could on the convoy which I was only about 25'. Heck, I can hang a gopro from the bird but mic only picks up rotor and motor whine.

Anything is better than total silence Robert. Would there be any advantage to running an audio recorder at the location of the video taken by the copter? I suppose I can do that next year.

Looks like Pat has a trail truck now. Break out the hackzall, lets trim that low hanging junk out of the way and hack off most of the fenders.

There was wifi in the field last year. Has a big effect on pic posting this early.

Robo has copies of all the videos from the Phantom. It has finally made the journey from the truck to the garage. I hope to get it in the house in the upcoming week.I will upload and post all raw vids and Robo can make something nice with the copies.

I have a video of the convoy right as it passes the bomber track. The wind was he77 but I managed. I was informed that Pats truck would be last so when it passed I tried to spin around and barely got Adam's hy-rail truck.

I have the gopro but it won't work with the gimbal. All you would hear is the sound of the rotors churning, trust me, it's more unpleasant than silence. The camera I use has no sound at all. It's also wifi so I can frame shots from the aircraft. No worries on headbanging music or country...

They are 100% soundless. Would be nice if they had at least something to listen to.

As evidenced by the one video I posted, they are good for astronomy too! I wish I had the equipment to at least add music to them, I have a few more that need to be posted. Robo has copies of all of them. Is there anyplace I can dump (upload) the convoy shot?

Tell Vivian to be just a little bit patient with me (yeah right). I am putting a little package together for her. Nothing special but some stuff to help her bracelet business.

Can't wait to hear the flag story. Saw a bunch of folks riding around on a golfing cart with the same flag.
