    M1010 somebody talk me down

I love your work ethic and determination. Slowly it comes together. I have the dual plan b mod (2 12v alts) and my gauge is just at the overcharge mark too. 3 years with no problems.

    M1010 somebody talk me down

Sounds like you are attacking things head on. I'm wondering if the headlight wires were tapped for wig wags. If you take the simplistic approach doing one wire at a time like you are, eventually you will triumph. If your lower alternator ends up being toast, you can use the 12V Leece Neville...

    M1010 somebody talk me down

Pic 1. Medical caduceus placard goes in that spot. Top bracket is for a flood light. Pic 2. Connector isn't stock but likely trailer connection. I see a receiver was added as well. U brackets are for a pt boom and the spring clip holds it out of the way. The reverse light was added as were chock...

    M1010 somebody talk me down

That is the fuel pump for the rear compartment heater. Usually comes one when heater is running. Unplug it, you don't need it. Until you sort out your charging system, pack a jump box with you. I can't see any way of keeping things working right just running off that lower alt.

    M1010 somebody talk me down

Lets see, for road use and mild trails I think the axles will be fine. It kind of looks like it was rigged to 12V in a way. Keeping it 24V would be fairly easy as well. In reference to the A/C, are you referring to the pt compartment A/C? See some options and ideas in this thread...

    M1010 somebody talk me down

They are certainly 3/4 ton. If you don't plan on big tires or off roading, you should be just fine. Finding a full float rear would be much easier than the 60 front. Would be much better for highway driving. What would your plans be for it? If it's a solid body, it might be a good buy but...

    M1010 somebody talk me down

I've looked at those pics over and over. I really believe that it has 3/4 ton running gear. Its sad that the seller either won't disclose this or got taken himself and trying to return the favor.

    M1010 somebody talk me down

Check out the drive line really close. Hard to tell from pics but it sure looks like someone put 3/4 ton axles in it. That would explain the super low price.

    M1010 somebody talk me down

The biggest recurring issue with the M1010 is the charging system. Seems that the military saw fit to have 2 24V alts installed and use a DUVAC box to pulse down 24V to 12V. The DUVAC is the heart of the problem. The common fix for years was an elimination of the 24V system or to use an...
