At the risk of sounding corny, I find that I fit in better with the Steel Soldiers crowd than the typical Aberdeen collector crowd. Can't explain it. The only major draws to Aberdeen is finding parts, the convoy (at least the yellow serial) and meeting the SS family. Perhaps if the event was...
Eric, did you drive your M1008 (Amy's M1008)? Not throwing stones but I've never seen you travel to any events in green iron! Guess I should get up north more often.
What a dissapointing showing and sharing of pics from Aberdeen. For the very few folks who shared, thank you. For those who are hoarding their pics and not sharing, that's not very SS of you!
Ah, the ever so familiar meeting place at Doswell VA. One day I'll win the lottery and do the convoy again. Maybe I can cheat and bring the M1008 up on the autotrain and then travel south to Doswell and join the yellow serial.
It would be worth the effort if there was an impromtu Steel Soldiers meeting sometime after the Garbee Food Fest where members could do a meet and greet. Don't invite me, Aberdeen may as well be part of the Yukon Territory. Can't afford to get out of sight.
