Trainman, keep an eye open. Once the official thread is up, the GA Rally will be the most talked about topic here. I'm sure there is a function that awaits you at the rally. I'll see you there.
Should be coming up shortly after the conclusion of Haspin. As soon as Clinto posts it I'm going to jump on post #2 so that I can coordinate the FL contingent and convoy from there.
Yeah, Bobby. Found an NOS one and jumped on it. Was still in the box. If I could get one for $150, I'd probably buy a second one but as big and bulky as they are, don't need it.
We are going to have to send a detatchment of troops to your AO a week out to get all this stuff to the site.
And, for what it's worth, I have the Hardigg Desk for the check in site.
The wooden ones are great, just not what I want. There is one on a well known auction site but it's a little more costly than I'm willing to go right now. Bobby, have you seen.any sold? What is the ballpark price on one?
Folks, I am hoping to obtain a Hardigg field desk for the check in/ name tag area for 2012 SSGR. I missed one in the classifieds but did place a wanted ad to see if one pops up. I'd rather avoid the plywood contraptions if possible.
Here is the orignal thread introducing it to all members. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/76153-official-steel-soldiers-sticker.html
As for the PM a few days ago, it was actually last night at 2015 hrs and you are right, I've not responded. I'm not set up quite yet to fulfill the...
I don't know about doing the waivers at our registration. I really think that is best left to the durhamtown staff. Perhaps Clinto can quiz Mike on that. Camping would be easy. I would hate to lose this venue because a couple of folks would want to skip out on paying camping fees.
If Durhamtown were OK with it, I could collect camping fees at the gate and assure folks payed. I could also do some type of camping permit to be dispayed on the camping unit. Are there any waivers required for registration? Just as soon as the 2012 dates are posted, I will reserve my cabin.
I agree with you on pricing. Heck, I have 4 totes and one that Ferro forgot at his house (thankfully). Do you mind servicing it during the weekend? It would be simple if we could gouge little drainfields but if not, we are going to be toting gray water. I think we need to do a Cost Benefit...
As far as sanitation stations, we need to check with Mr McCommons to see who services the blue rooms. Just about every portajohn place rents hand cleaning stations. Rather than riigging, purchasing or fabbing up something, we should just rent some for the event. I found one on an auction site...
Jon H, you were there a little after midite. I was at the gate when you posted between 10 and 12 and when I went over the fire was wondering where you were. I should have recognized the rover but I didn't. There were a few of us left standing when you arrived!
