You have stated the engine was NOS, but what does that mean? DRMO motor? I assume so....but those DRMO motors are removed for many reason...depot reset programs, blown motors etc...it's possible this motor was bad from the get go.
I don't know the history....have you asked your seller?
take it...
First of all....that's not alot of smoke, I also dont here the stutter, but its hard to tell from the video, but now that your Injectors are done and we know that's not it....it's the pump or heads. The engine in my M1045 build upon firing it up smoked and stuttered....put new heads on and it...
If it were me, I would do an injector pump....but as stated, could be bad valve guides seals, but that usually goes away once warm. Has it always done this since you brought it home? Or did it start doing it after you did something like changing a fuel filter? What model pump do you have? Read...
Any injector for H1hummer for years 94-95 will work...but don't bother with napa...you will pay out the nose.
you won't find a hmmwv listed in a parts database. But you will for hummer...am general.
you just need to know what you have to ask for the particular year.
92-93 6.2, 94-95 6.5NA...
Oh, eBay is your best bet, for injectors and the lines, we need to know which pump you have and what injector you have so you know what line you need. You want to make sure you don't get turbo stuff....lots of it out there.
The place you got them tested should, sell them...no?
plentyon eBay...there is a company in Oakland calif I use called diamond diesel....I got a set for there for a customer.
No idea what you mean...what is that part number embossed on the injector? Take a pic and post it.
also, what model pump do you have? It's on the left side of the pump on a data plate...not the NSN, but the standadyne part number...you can see it with a flashlight.
Oh boy....now you be to remove the intake manifold to replace that line. You have to remove the IJ line clamps on the valve covers....I assume u did this?
The color smoke was mentioned early on....it's white. It could be alot of things, I have seen blown head gaskets do same, but that has other symptoms.
i get these trucks all the time in the shop this way...it's normally injectors or most often a bad pump.
The truck is already stumbling and blowing unburnt fuel....the test might show what injector is affected but removing the excess fuel while its loosened.
I would replace all the Drain back lines while your at it....your Diesel shop should have a kit, the new lines are precut and dont need clamps.
the kit should also have new washers for the Injectors as well...you need a 30mm deep dish socket to get them out, the left rear is a real PITA.
Really sounds like air in your system, have you checked your fuel drain back lines?
It is also very well a bad injector pump...but pop test the injectors.you should have no smoke...it is not normal.
when you pull them out, tell us the part number, maybe they are the wrong ones...I had the...
glow plugs are only for starting, if all is working correctly, your wait lite will come on for approx 8-10 secs when cold....once warm, it will flash once briefly.
You might also have a bad cold advance solenoid inside the IJ pump....but that will not produce the smoke you are talking about. I...
Remove the injecotors and take them to a shop and get them POP,tested..., they do it for free.
What color is your smoke? This can be a few things:
1. air in the fuel supply, crack a couple of injector lines while the truck is running to bleed out air.
2. Blocked drain back lines, check to make...
