Cool. I just wanted others to know. It is a simple mod with available parts. It looks good and it is clean. Most just scab some crap on there and it looks like crap.

I am putting this out there so people can see it.

so have you did the mod with the exhaust?

If you have any questions about my mods or on the m35a2 just ask. I have rebuilt mine from front to back down to the wiring and of the wiring is new. I have put a dump hoist kit in it, Stereo with a 400 watt amp and so on. We are here to share info!!

The Cat in a m35 a3 requires 450 CFM for the intake. So my best guess would be that A3 filter housing is capable of 550 to 600 CFM.

Some times you have to bite the bullet and buy the new one. It is a set back. It is less work as well.

A lot more CFM of air is the main thing. It moves the filter housing from the engine bay and gives you more room to work on the engine. It make less noise because of it location outside of the engine bay. It takes in air about two feet higher than the stock cleaner and has turbulators to drop...

Tnj Murray has nos m35a3 air clearer housing complete with filter for $225 still. The intake parts are from the screen shot below.

Here is a pic of the m35a3 intake installed. Just remove the old intake filter housing and cut the access door shorter. Buy adapters, elbow, 45, some clamps and a piece of aluminum pipe.

You could just put a rubber stopper in it or cap so if you get the m3 muffle you can use it. It is in the back and it is hard to see. But at the end of the day it is what you like.

Here is a better picture. I live down road the from the Tnj Murray. They had parted out some m3's and they are still there so you could get the parts from them that are needed. You just cut the J pipe at the fender and weld a 3 1/2 to 4 in adater with a flange on your stock J pipe and it bolts...

I took an exhaust system and air cleaner from a M35a3 and with a few adapters for the most part it bolts right up. My truck is very quiet!!
