    I think on mine there was quite a bit of pitting on the body of the drier. It worked for a while then started acting up again. Living here in the Midwest we can get a lot of moisture. If yours holds up you saved yourself some money. Something I can always use more of.

    I hate to say it but I think I used carb cleaner after I removed the guts. Lubed the O-rings and replaced the canister. Worked for a while then it was back to the same old thing. I finally replaced it and haven't had any trouble for about a year or so. When the blow down valve sticks open...

    Njdeuce I looked on Ryder and the 2 kits you would need is DQ6026 upper and DQ6020 lower. I had to follow the instruction to the letter. To get to the purge valve you have to have the desiccant and coalescing filter out to get to the screw to split the shuttle valve.

    I had the same thing happen to me. The purge valve would stick and drop my air pressure to nothing. Not positive on the A2 but that is the kit for the A1. I bought mine on Ryder and I think it was a little cheaper. They also carry a complete new drier for about double what the kit costs...
