    The cable step is a nice variation of the stirrup. I take it that the retractible works by picking up the bottom rung and pushing the ladder portion under the bed, correct? Steve

    Gotta credit Wheelspinner with the RV step idea. I just found the pi'cher. However, I've gotta retract in favor of a stirrup step. I looked at the step, then back at the truck picture above and thought, "OK. Now I'm up there. How in the DEVIL am I gonna retract the step." One of these...

    I dunnooo. I see plenty of rigs where the 1st step is within reason. The RV step sounds good. Key would be in thinking through mounting and the paint job.
