I removed the troop seats and mounting brackets from the bed of the truck yesterday. I also had a bad belt pulley, bearing was making a loud noise. I thought at first it was my power steering pump going bad. Ordered three pulleys (Gates 36310)and the tensional pulley(Gates 36239) off of RockAuto.

Lol....it was a last minute thing. I was going to use the 16" Hutchinson Bead-Lock rims(Tires were cheaper at $920 for a set of 4--315x75R16E) but Costco would not mount them because they are bead-Lock and not for the highway. So I went with what was on the truck when I got it. I was debating on...

Tighten up all the little things today on the rear axle. Bled the rear brakes and droved it around in the parking lot. Everything sounds good and is working as it should. Going to change the fluid in the rear end tomorrow.

Spent a little time in the rain this afternoon swapping out the rear axle on the LSSV. I still have a few things to hook up, bleed the brakes and change the axle fluid also.

I found a used rear axle out of a 2006 2500HD Duramax. It has 123K on it for $375.00 It was a wrecked truck and the guy pulled the axle off the truck on Sat and said it checked out good. Going to pick it up this Wed just south of Tampa, Fl.
