From the damage picture it appeared that there was excessive sideways force on the bar. The way it broke was not from pulling straight apart.- Suprman

Its aluminum and much easier to transport and operate than a steel bar. Everything has its trade-offs. I think its a decent product I have not gone far with one though.- Suprman

It looks like he didn't use feet and somehow had the towbar ends go right to the bumper shackles and missing the "foot joint" caused the failure.- Suprman

I have one of those bars too I havent used it yet but thats kind of scary. Were you using axle clamps or tow feet? I think if I use mine I will have someone in the cab steering after hearing about your experience. I did flat tow a 923 with my 931 tractor today I have a gladhand to gladhand...- Suprman
