It is my understanding the military has been selling them off in Europe for some time and they bring over 30k there consistently. I would buy a nice Unimog before I spent that kind of money on a humvee.
Lots of publicity equals lots of bids. I remember last year GL was on the front page of a major news network site and they had so much traffic the GL site crashed. I have to believe many bidders didnt quite understand the EUC process and no title offroad use only but only time will tell.
If there was no euc requirements I think you would see a lot of overseas bidding. Especially since IP/GP has a worldwide audience. I think the no title offroad only requirement will hurt the sales in the US. I would bet the bidding does go high but overseas buyers will be declined on the EUC...

I don't see the military have use for older non armored vehicles that they no longer have repair parts stocked for. Much easier to print more money and send the factories into overdrive.
What he is saying is someone somewhere could easily complain or bring up some obscure law reg or other bs and put the quabash on the whole thing before it ever gets off the ground.

I don't think any company sells new civilian humvees anymore so I don't see who would object to civilian transfer. But you never know. Until someone buys one and has title in hand you never really know what will happen.
