If the rpms are higher than they should be then the downshift could be harder than expected. Either way its going to be a hard downshift compared to a civilian truck. There is a throttle position sensor on top of the engine that is used by the engine computer. Its over the first fuel filter...
Nice. Its hard to tell from the pics how did the old filters look? I think part of the downshift to starting gear is due to it being geared so low.
