    Most of the other military alternators are a bit longer than the Lmtv ones since they fit in front of the turbo. Other military trucks with the cat engines have the alternator up a bit higher but the cab comes down so there's no room to move it up on the Lmtv.

    You may need a different mount bracket if its not the original style alternator.
