    I wonder if allison makes a different 7th gear overdrive that way no lower end would be lost just a gain in fuel economy on flat ground.

    Scott which axle assemblies have the higher gears and how can one tell? I am looking at the m1079's for a camper conversion and I would like better fuel economy but wonder if the motor will have adequate power for hills when loaded. Thanks jamie
