Your fuel leak from the top area of the tank may not be the gasket, might be the vent tube ....three or four of them. Clean and watch them closely. Round thing with red wire is the fuel gauge sender, pull that and you can get a decent look into the tank. .....Drive shaft is easy, the sender...

Never had to...... we have "cooled " the input yoke though to get the speedy-sleeve on. Involved a 3000 gal. tank of CO2, a 8 ft. wand and a cardboard box. I thought it a little munch to try and explain here though. Worked for us though and did not have to wait all night.

CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN..... carefully tap into place with a plastic mallet(hammer). If I remember there is a lip on the seal that ends up flush when its seated. A block of wood will work BUT it has to be started evenly first. These are usually not real tight........... for whats it worth.

I eyeballed my 1123 and it looks like the drive shaft will have to be moved aside, looks like the carrier bearing will have to removed also, big nut off, pull yoke out, seal out, clean, replace seal...... their is a TM on this that spells it all out..... too busy to read today, but looks...

Perfect job for a SPEEDY -SLEEVE and a new seal of course. Or just a new seal if the yoke is in good shape. You own an impact wrench, right? There is probably north of 150 ft. lbs on the pinion nut.

Put a rod through the side of the block at 80 and you will find the oil leak real fast. Been nice knowing you.

The trucks weight has nothing to do with the "engine margin". My point was "speed", 3000, 7200, or more pounds on oil slick tires and you are just along for the ride. ( I bet it ends bad) If you look at enough trucks with "oil leaks" you see a lot of connecting rods hanging out of the block. The...

You might want to think this one over a little???? I know I for one would not want to be in one of these trucks at 85 when a connecting rod falls out a hole in the side of the block. Just my 2 cents.

The CDR regulates the amount of blowby inside the engine back into the intake. If the guys that removed it did a good job looping the hoses(no leaks) it will put the internals under negative pressure but not a great deal. Diesels are not "air throttled" but fuel throttled. If the looped hoses...

Tires are one of the maintenance practices best done DYI. Once the shop see's them I would guess the shop will not touch them or that the price will be astronomical. Just my 2 cents. By the way, it takes me all day to do 4 with run flats. Lots of breaks!

You live in California, they do not sell any decent parts cleaner in your state!
