Great work. Why not use a Dremel to round off the rivets? Mark the center area and then just use a drimel to gently take off excess material surrounding the contact area. Simple and fast and easy for someone with your skill set.

Don’t forget that you can always use a GPS program like Waze on your cell phone as a speedometer so you do not need a working speedometer in the vehicle if you have a good cell phone.
I won’t argue with the fact that a four-speed transmission will allow the engine to turn at lower RPM, however even at lower RPM our engines create a cacophony of sound. It’s like saying the jet engine makes less sound at lower speeds. It’s still a jet engine. Lol
Nice work(!), but why not just make it out of hard rubber or plastic or fiberglass or bondo. Easier to shape and form and machine and still will last a lifetime.

I hope you're correct. I though my radiator was good, but I decided to swap it out. That is when I found the two tiny punctures.
