Heaters have little gas expansion valves that ensure the pilot is on. When that valve goes bad the system goes dead. Cheap items. I would first check gas delivery and then check there second. called a thermocoupler IIRC

In all honesty, I think if you do not secure the front of this properly to your vehicle, it will blow off and potentially hurt someone when you are driving at the speed. Good luck.
