The proverbial "check is in the mail"!!! :-D:-D Or will be soon. We did not have to be present at some secret location to collect this one.
I still want to know who beat us???? I'm not sure how or when the official anouncement will be made.
GOOD NEWS!!!!:-D
It's not official yet so don't go bragging to the "Model A" club just yet. A little birdie told me that we took 2nd place, which means $200!!!:-D:-D
So I'm going on a shopping spree! Just kidding, I would like to put this towards some professional signs...
Great job everbody! I think we it went well for such a short notice mission. We will be better prepaired next year. How was Los Arcos??? My family eats there most weekends, good food and good prices.
M813A1: I'm glad the inverter issue worked out. Guess those things really suck the juice...
Alright guys & gals, tonight is the night!!! :-D Dress warm and bring your hot chocolate.
So Wal-Mart Parking Lot (I-35 & 15th) @1700 hours. I will try to get there early to find an open area. SE or NE.
PS: I was able to pull some strings and get some air support. See picture. :-D:-D
Ha ah, I'm busted! I wasn't for sure what KW those gen sets were. If I had that one, I would be dragging it. I'll have to settle for my little Honda gen this year.:-D
Speak for yourself! I'm dragging a 40KW generator for power and my light bulb count is just shy of 1 million! You better have sunglasses when I fire this baby up!!
Real Story: A little Honda generator with maybe 500 lights.:-D:-D
Headcount: So far I have M1075, M813A1, Warthog, Gerald, & myself. Anybody else going to make it?
Don't be a "Scrooge", come out and join the fun!!!!:-D:-D:-D
Okay I just spoke with Michelle, she recommend that we enter the staging area from the North and avoid the traffic on 2nd & University. She said they were still receiving calls from people wanting to enter the parade, so it would be no problem if we had more than 6.
So here's the plan...
I vote meeting at the NE corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot at I-35 & 15th NLT 1700hrs. I really don't want to mess with rush hour traffic in OKC. It will be hard enough with the short distance in Edmond.
I have a few more lights to hang on my M35 & m105. Also, have to get a heater for my pax...
Update: I just sent in the application for us. I put us down for 6 vehicles, however I don't think they would mind if we have a dozen show up. Paperwork & rules are about the same as the 4th parade that most of you were in. Below is additional information.
Date: 3 DEC 09
Staging Time: 1730...
