I'm finally getting around to getting one for my M923. I don't want to grind off the cross bar rivets and I want it to sit a little lower. So, I'm going to go for the Draw-Tite 41947. Then I'm going to add a drop of 10 inches like this...
Let us know how it goes. You will need a drop hitch or something else to lower it.
A drop hitch like this might be better than adding spacers at the frame http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BXT1N0/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3F85K2N3SOH2A
Or better yet something adjustable...

So why does it say
Product Dimensions
43 x 12 x 20 inches
according to this the Ford F350 frame width is 34 inches. so, I'm not sure if they will work

After doing more research it seems like hitches for Fords from the late 1970s should fit the M939 (M923) series trucks...maybe! I haven't tried it but would be nice if someone can confirm this by measuring a F350 from the 70's. Does anyone know if this fits?
If they match up there are heavier...
you can see what the hitch looks like here

I was also wondering if this would work if a hole was drilled out for the pintle...
didn't pick it up yet. I'm not sure if its strong enough and I'm waiting to hear what other members are doing regarding a hitch. Also, I have been doing a lot of other things to my truck.
M923 frame is 29 to 34 (inner / outer width)
the only factory mount I see that will fit is this - Curt 13703 Class III Receiver Hitch
it doesn't look as strong as others but for under 300 it will do
this one is 43 inches which good for a deuce but I have to check on the width of the 5 ton M939 type
