    Crank, no start, white smoke.

    The most common fixes for the stock fuel base are to remove the fuel pressure switch and plug the remaining hole, or to get a freeze plug of the correct size and drive it in... Most guys seem to have better luck just plugging the hole. Some searching here in the CUCV section will turn up a few...

    Top line (large hose) is the input/supply from the lift pump, bottom line (small hose) is the output/delivery to the IP. Fuel filter could be clogged or obstructed, or the fuel pressure sensor could be leaking and caused an air pocket in the filter... Try cracking open the black bleeder screw...
