    The M1089 is beyoind my scope (only had the four wheel variants myself). Wild guess, but could it be a failed temp sensor? Ie: the engine fan will come on at start up but then shut down until the 200 degree mark where the sensor turns it back on Perhaps the trans cooler works in a similar...
