Rgr all. Yeah, I was just wondering which seats were in your truck given the mix of variants that it consists of. Do you have the box with the headrest pad above and behind the driver?

I can't find the post, but somewhere you mentioned your truck rode "washbvoard" rough. Do you have the A0 or the A1R seats? The A0 seats have the metal plate that your ass hits on every bump.. The A1R seats are suspension (pretty much look the same, but no metal plate and have much...

Yeah, it could but I think they retain their build date (I had an '94 that had been back thru BAE's retrofit program and it retained it's original manufacture date). I think BAE was just making trucks with the bits on hand at any given time. And trucks produced in the middle of model changes...

It's diesel. It actually the Yanmar engine from a BAPU that I swapped the 24v charging head for a 6.5Kw gen head. Back in 2018 there were piles of them with only break-in hours pouring off GP for cheap. Sadly, the gen head took a dump at 25hrs during the big freeze. I suspect that it...

Yep, mine is in the 119000 range (10/2008 )

Yeah, it's valuable space. My gen is out of the truck currently, but that's where it goes.

Yep, that is the A1R cab system. Out of curiosity, what is aft of the driver wheel well? Is it a slanted panel (that actually holds the parking chocks) or is it a panel that forms a rectangle? The A1's typically had the slant unless equiped with winch, etc where the space housed the hydraulic...

  10. Third From Texas

That is curiously cool, huh. It it sort of makes sense. The cab was never intended to be up-armored so the coil overs are totally unnecessary until you reach the P2. Never seen this configuration before. I like it.....

As Geo said, that's just the airbag replacement. There's a TON of other bits that make up the system. You'll spend thousands to make it a squeaky cab. LOL

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

Yeah, that's a later A1 . The A1R would have the giant coil-over front shocks and no air ride. So you're sort of in-between models there. Score on the C7 though. I bet it rides well w/o air ride. The only thing that makes the A1R's a bit stiffer is the coil over. Air ride is OK but lots of...

If you look on GP (you can search sold items as well) you can see the three variants of the dash (A0, A1, A1R). They are each unique to the variant.

I had to look. I needed to raise the cab today anyway. LOL Mine is black

The dash on a C7 truck is unique. The engine itself will have the ACERT badge written across the top of the engine. Got any pics?
  16. Third From Texas

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

I gave up hope. As General said theA1R is essentially the P2 w/o the armored cab and thus civilian taboo.
  17. Third From Texas

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

Heh, S&S/BAE made all sorts of Franken-trucks (mostly all A1s). I've seen A1's with C7s that were clearly not A1R trucks. I suspect at some point they just said "use the parts we have available and make a truck). ;)
  18. Third From Texas

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

No, I just got the one book. I have electronic copy of the A0 versions (TM-10 and -20, etc)) as well (it includes the changes thru 2005 even though the cover page does not indicate so). Of course, I have an A1R so everything I have leaves me in the dark. LOL

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

TMs are a vast mystery to all but a few. The A0 (June 1998 ) TM's were simply amended to add info for the A1 modifications (2005). The updated versions are difficult to find because they technically have the same numbers as the predecessors. I've never made heads nor tails of it, myself...
