Re-read my post. The passenger side alternator doesn't have to work to operate the truck, you just have to have a good rear battery for starting. And you did say you had a spare alternator for the driver side. Maybe I missed something.

You only need the drivers side alternator to operate the vehicle short term. The passenger alternator charges the rear battery which is only used for starting. No big deal if it doesn't work. I ran mine for weeks like that. Just put a battery charger on it every few days.
