    Definitely check the kingpin springs and bushings. If you have stock size tires it's probably just worn kingpin springs, especially with the age of these vehicles. It's also a good idea to check and repair any steering related parts while you are focused on the front end.

    I had this problem in my 1028. I replaced the kingpin bushings and springs, which helped, but it still wasn't gone. I researched and found that the kingpin springs probably didn't have enough pressure for compensate for the larger 37" (and less balanced) Interco tires. So I put one 2" x 1/8"...
