    I have heard some folks talk about adding pinion brakes for emergencies. Of course they'd be 1-time use as they would require a rebuild/replacement after use since they would be spinning 6.5 times faster than the wheels (that's a lot of heat from friction).

    That's a good idea! Is this equipment you owned or did you have to find a shop that had one? (I assume for looking at pistons and inside the engine)
