You shouldn't need the external trans cooler then...who knows why they unhooked it...the one in the radiator should be fine! 400s typically don't get to hot plus a pretty tough one...I saw you may put a temp gauge on the trans too...be fun to see what you get...I've been on the lmc site a good...
