    Man, what ever happened to leaving people the h*ll alone? Tax this, tax that. There will come a time, as it has in all of history, when people won't take it lying down anymore. If that's worth their "tax"; they deserve everything they get.

    My first new car was a Saturn coup. It got 46 MPG on the highway and all I did was put gas in it. I should have kept it.

    Thanks for the links, clinto. If I'm reading that right, about 6% of the tax is "road tax". I wonder where the road tax is actually spent?

    As I understand it, about 50% of the cost of a gallon of gas is the actual tax on it, which does not go to fund the infrastructure we drive on. I could be wrong, but that's what was being touted when diesel went over $4.00 a gallon last year.

    Hmmmm... It's not a "Diesel"; it's a multifuel that burns a proprietary mixture of already disposed of crap that has already been taxed and used. We should br charging them to get rid of it! Isn't this the kind of thing that the Colonies trounced King George for a while back? :confused:
