    Dare I ask this?

    I have the problem of my Gen 1 light showing faint illumination after the truck is running - it never did this before I had that problem with the starter solenoid in the dashboard. I had to replace the fuseable link for the #1 alternator and I just wonder if the shorted link might have weakened...
