M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Thanks so much for all your guys help! I rebuilt the control box I ordered online, And after installing the new delco style alternator, rebuilt PCB box, and new ABS module, the truck runs like a champ! Took it up into the mountains this last weekend and had a blast! Now I just need to rebuild...

Awesome, that's some great info, I didn't see that thread before. I'm definitely going to repair my PCB when I get a chance.

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Do you guys know if there are any diodes in the PCB box? Or anywhere else in the truck that I should check out? Thanks!

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

I unhooked the diode attached to the horn, and it went back to functioning normally. I must have just blown all the diodes in the truck when the surge occurred. Hopefully everything goes back to normal with the new abs ecu and pcb. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

That's great! I never would have guessed that was a diode. I will unhook it to see if the short goes away. Thanks again for all those pictures, they are great! Andrew

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

How do I open up my PCB box? It seems like the whole thing is welded shut, with only a plug sticking out. Do I have to cut it open with a hacksaw or something? I want to try and see if any of the solenoids are bad. Also, since I fixed the short in the ABS ECU, do you have any ideas on why...

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

This is what I think the problem is, the diode in the ABS ECU, I will take it apart and see. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?114744-M939-ABS-ECU-failure-point

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Plugged back in the ABS ecu plug, and unplugged the front 3-wire abs unit, and the short at the 15 amp fuse returned. Am I doing this right? I then unplugged the rear abs module too, the short is still there. Is the short in the ABS ECU or downstream somewhere? Sent from my iPhone using...

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

The horn is still sounding even with no 15amp fuse, and the ground at the base of the steering column unhooked. But does not sound when #25 is unhooked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

So I went back this morning and started troubleshooting. The alternator this morning was performing fine, in the middle of the green, so I didn't mess with it for now. But I did order the new delco alternator, J180 short bracket, "used" PCB box, and am currently working on a ABS module, so I...

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

I know the system wasn't charging before I pulled the PCB off, so maybe I messed something up when I did.

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Well crap... I pulled the PCB board off, realized I couldn't get in the thing without cutting it open. So I was going to try your last advice and check out that fuse power. I reinstalled the PCB, then fired up the engine and checked the voltage at the fuse, which was blown again. It was...

Wow, thanks for all that, I’m looking into the PCB now, then the abs modules. My alternator does show charging when the truck is running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Thanks for the info. I seemed to have opened a can of worms, because now the CTIS is also acting up, I hear the system start making noise in the cab, like it wants to add pressure to the tires, but no air pressure is leaving the air tank like before. And the airline from the compressor going...

M925A2 Electrical issue, Circuit breaker/relay issues, Horn/ABS problems

Hey there everybody, I just recently purchased a M925A2, and have been having some fun with it, but now i've run into a problem... While driving, my dog was sitting next to me, and when I hit the brakes, he started to slide off the seat, and braced himself by putting his paw on the dash. This...
