I have been putting this off for a while, for a # of reasons and finally decided to get serious about it.
I did not want to use a towbar, because I wanted to make my a-frame modular, so you could adjust the height as necessary and make it a little taller.......
So I figured the best...
Well, if anyone is interested let me know and I will talk to a friend of mine who is a genuis in fabrication. If it's feasible ($$$) he'll know how to do it and he knows how to calculate load capacities and all the technical stuff that goes into a project like this.
Well, if they're that rare, I will build my own, although I agree with SixBuy, I'd like to see what the military thought was a good idea..
Building my own allows me to modify it to my needs, such as making it longer in order to clear the roof….
The A-frame hoist shown in the Operator's Manual (TM 9-2320-361-10) on pages 2-22 and 2-80 looks pretty darn useful to me, but yet, I have never seen one, or even heard it mentioned.
I am curious what units got these, if anyone has even seen one, where you might find one and if you could...
