    friend I did mine with.... we just used a chunk of machined metal and a Caliper to measure depth and did the math to determine neccissary amount of shims needed. Pretty easy and more accurate cause of measuring actual distance from machined surface (machined block on machine surface of hub)...

    odds are you will not even know till you pull her apart; yet it doesn't really matter cause the general procedure due to time consumption, since it is a bit of work, and it is pretty darn heavy stuff to deal with, sometimes a PITA etc.. that when breaking down this area for a repair just go...
