in a previous conversation it was mentioned he did it using the "manual valve ctis" setup- aka.... The first one of the two bypass the CTIs computer systems written up in here. (second one is more of a reconfigure of the ctis computer)

Few of the walkie talkie app does NOT use cell phone towers. Reception via towers is irrelevant.

their is walkie talkie apps for phones now. Use that along with a cost effective headset.... the phones ability to do voice commands and whala..... you have communication system at a good price..... least that is the theory.. not tried it yet.
