    That letter code was your unit's Unit Identification Code. Every unit in the Army has one. It uniquely identifies that particular unit. A few units I was in we stenciled them on the vehicles, and I've seen other units do that too.

    Nope, sorry I don't have any photos of the stencil. Or at least, none that you can clearly see what it is. BUt, it was a Nikon F5 camera in front of the infantry crossed muskets.

    It's really up to you as far as what sorts of markings you want to use. As far as official markings, I've seen trucks with U.S. Army and For Official Use Only underneath. I've seen others with chevrons painted on the doors, mostly from Desert Storm, though a few woodland or plain green ones...
