As far as energy storage, it's only a fraction of the lead acid battery, perhaps 1/10th, cranking the engine for 4 to 5 seconds before recharging.

Yep, I make those in my basement..:-)
IMHO, if you keep your regular batteries happy, they (ultra caps) would never be needed..
