Nice job, I remember you scratching your head over this little problem during my visit back in '06 (can't believe it's over 3 years ago). You may want to consider cotter pins for more of those nuts...or are those self locking?

Interesting details, Leonard. How did you do these reinforcements, is there a crease through them or is it just the image?

Oh man, Leonard, it hurts just reading about it...hope you are all right.

Looks good Leonard. Does you dog (Cole? can't remember..) have a new friend?

As usual excellent workmanship Leonard. Don't forget your "star" washers for a good ground to the marker lights. I often use dedicated ground wires to bypass bolted connections.....

A good friend to have, for sure (dma251), and you deserve it, I'll never forget how you went out of your way to help me with the rear end seal on my deuce... Have you thought much about where to mount the hydraulic pump or did I miss that? Looks solid, lots of weight on that rear axle. :-)

Looking good Leonard, can't wait to see the crane in place.

As far as I know, the HEMTT fuel tank is a single cylindrical 150 gal tank, probably too big for the 2-1/2 ton Baby HEMTT. What is the capacity/size of your tanks?

Well we did get an explanation didn't we? That's what it's all about asking and getting answers, nothing should be taken for granted. Often we learn from others and questions may remind us that we are not perfect..I wish you would answer more of my questions to you since the HEMTT is rather...

As usual Leonard, great workmanship! How is this stress area addressed and what will the new tongue weight be?

Minor correction here, (at least my) HIAB is good for 410° ....and it's more than a crane, actually, more like a mechanical arm, I can park a load within about a foot of the base of the crane or maybe I should say manipulate, since there is no wire rope involved, well you may have seen the posts...

Hmmm...I'm sure that I have seen low profile HIAB's (knuckle booms) too....

Is the full 40 inches required by the crane of your choice, the HIAB only uses 24?

Nothing like a new project. :-) Have you located a crane yet? Dozens were sent to the scrapper in 2006 when I worked on the 757 in Oklahoma, nobody wanted them at the time, not even for $250/ea....
