Can someone expand on this, virtually all front tires are singles, so does it have to do with the tread pattern or are super singles not used on the front axle on commercial rigs? Interesting thread, like to keep it going for a while.....- cranetruck

From the TM 9-8000: Drawbar pull = Tractive factor multiplied by the weight on powered wheels So, increase your pulling power by increasing the weight (as long as the gearing is low enough to turn the wheels)....- cranetruck
