I'll have to get with you if I ever decide to rivnut my set. I have a small bag of aluminum 10-32 rivnuts but not enough to do the set and no tool. I have found that a dab of antisieze compound will keep the corrosion at bay. Messy but worth it in the long run.

Just looked at my receipt and I bought 11' of 1/8" and 2' of 1/4" and had plenty. If you want to clamp the 1/4" hoses you can use zip ties.

Glad you came through the storm okay. Let me know if you want any help with the return lines. I used Gates fuel line that was in stock at O'Rilley Auto Parts. The 1/8" (3.2mm) is part number 27000 and the 1/4" is 27002. Both were $1.39 per foot. It was a snug fit and seems like it should...

My solar setup has been working good. My Walmart value power batteries need replacing again but so far they are staying above 24 volts. It's nice having the solar control on top so I can monitor the battery condition.

Ye have little faith. The MEP will start and run when you need it. On the other hand if mine fails I will come to your house for coffee. ;)

The Oklocknee River bridge between Thomasville and Cairo had a dozen accidents on snow day.

Ahhh! I thought your weather connection was seeing more in the future I wasn't getting.

When is this snowpocalypse you speak of? My walmart batteries died in the last cold snap. Actually I think they were on the way out in November. I had noticed it was still charging at near 15 amps after running a couple of hours. When I went to start it and found them dead they were 1 day from...

Did you get the drum connected? Mine has been on 9 hours and the fuel gauge remains just under the full mark with aux connected. I haven't gone out to survey but we just had tropical storm force winds here so I think it's not too bad.

It isn't any cheaper having it delivered either. BUT it is worth it to me not to have to haul cans. My 87 gallon delivery on Thursday came out to $2.59 per gallon after sales tax. they don't charge road tax but unless you are a farm for profit they charge sales tax. If I were to have one drum...

I wouldn't go with anything other than an oil drum. Mine were one time use motor oil so no clean out was needed.

Not trying to call you out. Thought maybe you were practicing for a run at county commissioner or something. :) I was just wondering why you were only reading 20 volts on pins that should have 24+. Any time you have a low voltage reading you need to start at the batteries and follow through...

I never saw a straight answer on this question. Low voltage is right up there with bad grounds for causing electrical anomalies. If it has a dead cell in one battery, a poor connection is causing low voltage, or the charging system isn't working as it should, that should be addressed before...

Could have been a bad connection that was cured in the transfer. I had a problem with voltage dropping on L1 under load. After scouring all the connections, recrimping, cleaning, and such the problem went away. I don't know if any of my actions fixed it but it has remained fixed after several...

I was just wondering if low voltage was causing a problem. Shouldn't it have 24 at the LOP?

Does it have 24+ volts at starter to ground?
