    And let me add that if you are going to jump wires never walk away from the job with jumpers on. You never know how long it will take to overload, melt other wires or connections.

    Have you checked all the light sockets for corrosion, side parking lights also? Are all the bulbs in working condition and of the proper bulbs? Is the trailer connector still installed, and has not been molested?
