That starter is stuck out there in the fly wheel teeth. Disconnect the batteries and get the starter off and checked. That is where I would start. Get a flywheel tool and turn the flywheel 360* and inspect the teeth first hand. Pictures and report back. Good Luck.

This socket will get it off. Salvage sockets work.
Get a good 6 point socket or a wrench. I mean Snap-On , Mac, or a salvage socket. Jack the back end up put it in neutral and get the bolts off one at a time by placing it in park. They are 7/16" hex headed 1/4" fine thread bolts. But 12 point wrenches and sockets have their place. Getting suborn...
