Sounds like a misfire please help!

I understand what you are saying. I am just puzzled that the same issues is still present with new major parts installed. Could it be the timing chain? I never dealt with that as most of the vehicles I dealt with were years newer and less mileage then what is coming on market now. And back then...

Sounds like a misfire please help!

I have ask this before and you may have answered. Did you go front to back on the fuel system? I mean in the tank and trace every feed line and every return line. Few times do I do a major repair and change major parts only to find that the pre-existing issue is still present with the same...

OK. That worked for me. May not work for you. Experiment with it. See where it runs the best. Move it a small bit at a time.

Did you try to move the injection pump to the driver's side 2-line thicknesses? You have nothing to lose. I thought it was crazy and I done it on my M1009. It ran perfect.

Delphi #CHFP906 CUCVRUS Repair Projects | Page 4 | SteelSoldiers Check it out. I posted a thread and show the correct pump and the incorrect pump and explain the difference. I stock 2 of the correct pumps at all times just because the confusion never stops with all suppliers. Good Luck.

Agree. If you are spending the money I would go all the way and change all the rubber in the fuel lines and drop the tank. Even eliminate the sock. But changing it would help. I seen the socks so worn a hole was rubbed thru them. CUCVRUS Repair Projects | SteelSoldiers CUCVRUS Repair Projects...

I never needed to go that far to turn the pump. But it did require some leverage. Give it a try.

Sounds like a misfire please help!

1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked. | Page 35 | SteelSoldiers I looked back at my previous notes, and I noted that I moved the injection pump timing line 2-line thicknesses to the driver's side of the line-to-line timing of the injection pump. I see yours is to the passenger's side. I...

Sounds like a misfire please help!

If it is an original 1984 m1009 with the original engine it will not have the plastic push pins in the rocker shafts. The 1984 had the no plastic rocker shaft and rocker arms. If it says all original injection pump and all I am still thinking injection pump. But that is a guess from afar and...

Sounds like a misfire please help!

I agree that is missy very bad and running poorly. It is a poor video and hard to diagnose from it. Hey I'm not there. If I bought a CUCV and it ran poorly and I wanted a reliable vehicle I always went for the fuel system and did a complete overhaul on all the parts. That is after I ruled out...

Sounds like a misfire please help!

The internal parts of the injection pump have failed. The only cure is the rebuilding of the injection pump. opinions vary and I will give you mine. I have changed over 100 injection pumps on CUCV's over the years. I had a local rebuilder and they went under after 50 years. The internet has...
