    Around here Hardy diesel mainly Yanmar and Kubota powered generators ( not sure who makes the actual generator head) are popular. It is a rural area so larger diesel generators are common. I bought my 15 hour 803A for $2000 3 years ago. I wouldn't even consider an untested military generator...

    I would check the reviews for Generac before I bought one. Many of the local electricians around here won't install them because of their failure rate.
